SALMON IN A BLANKET (Qizil Baliq yourganda)
Puff pastry dough
Salt and pepper to taste
Salmon fillet cut into portions, measuring 2 ½” x 6” (6 cm x 15 cm). Spray salmon with oil, season with salt and pepper.
Puff pastry dough cut into strips of 1” (2.5 cm) and wrap them around the salmon. Brush the top of the dough with the egg yolk.
Bake salmon in the preheated oven at 350°F (180°C).
When serving sprinkle salmon with narsharab (Azerbaijani national syrup made of pomegranate) or lemon juice.
